It's been really busy around here with the holiday's and guests and work and all.

I figured I would try the picture route for a number of reason's one of them being each pic is worth a thousand words give or take a few as you know and I have been pressed for time so.....

Caroline and I have been riding around alot lately and she has a particular cd with kids songs on it that we play in our travels. She likes "Puff the Magic Dragon" and I am kind of partial to "The Rainbow Connection" as sung by Sarah McLachlan.

"The Rainbow Connection"

written by Kenny Ascher and Paul Williams

Why are there so many songs about rainbows
And what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions,
And rainbows have nothing to hide.
So we've been told and some choose to believe it
I know they're wrong, wait and see.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

Who said that every wish would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star?
Somebody thought of that, and someone believed it,
And look what it's done so far.
What's so amazing that keeps us stargazing
And what do we think we might see?
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers, and me.

All of us under its spell,
We know that it's probably magic...

... Have you been half asleep? And have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name.
... Is this the sweet sound that calls the young sailors?
The voice might be one and the same
I've heard it too many times to ignore it
It's something that I'm s'posed to be...
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers, and me.

I just found out now that it was sung also in the Muppet Movie.

Thanks Inky,
I fixed the mispelled name and I agree she is amazing.

The cd is called "Gather Round.....Songs for kids and other people"

It's a Sony Music cd and if you have trouble finding it let me know because my father-in-law bought it for my daughter.

I like this rainbow song as much as I like that other popular rainbow song by Judy Garland in the Wizard of Oz.
